YOGA
My Mission
To inspire people through the practice of yoga to connect with their own personal wisdom healing abilities and expansive potential.
My Yoga Journey
I began a consistent yoga practice in 2016 when had an unfortunate experience with an ex boyfreind in College. I chose to deal with the trauma and depression by diving straight into yoga knowing that it was supposed to be a good therapy. Little did I know how truly healing it would be for me. Yoga has been so incredibly helpful with overcoming many emotional traumas throughout the years, and generally helps me with releasing negative emotions as well as generating creativity on a daily basis.
I attended a retreat in Nosara, Costa Rica (my favorite place in the world) in 2018 through Corepower yoga, where I had begun my yoga practice. It was an incredible experience that encouraged me to finally become a teacher myself (something I had actually dreamed about since a young teenager). So in 2019 I decided to embark on my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training journey with Corepower Yoga and completed their first 13 week program. At the end of 2019 I experienced a horrific emergency surgery that lead to a long recovery journey (which is still constant-more details in the Life/Health coach section). Due to an additional emergency surgery in 2021, I did not start teaching until 2022. I decided that I would not allow the obstacles to stop me from what I knew I had a purpose in this world to do. I developed quickly into a more confident teacher and told myself if I enjoyed teaching for over a year I would continue my education and complete my 300 hour teacher training to obtain 500 hr RYT.
But I went a step further....
In 2023 I made big moves and went to Bali, Indonesia for 5 weeks to not only complete a 300 hr Yoga Teacher Training program, but a program that was focused in Ayurveda. I am now a certified Advanced Holistic Ayurvedic Yoga Instructor. I plan on attending even more advanced trainings in the future. For the time being I have developed enough skills to teach classes virtually and in person, including private and public classes.
I am passionate about yoga flows- combining breath and movement into a moving meditation, a bomb playlist to fit the vision of the class, proper alignment, and inversions!
Let's play, breath, and move!
Aadil Palkhivala
“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.”
